Project Reveal: Upstate Charm - Part II
Project No. 26
Last week we shared the kitchen, great room, and master suite of this gorgeous project of ours, located in Amenia, New york. But this week, we're moving into the other beautifully designed areas of the home. Come take a look!
This calming guest bedroom is absolutely lovely. We love the simplicity of the design and the gentle allure that the space exudes. In interior design, sometimes the most difficult spaces to design are the simplest in nature. When you take away wallcoverings, loud colors, and patterns, you are left with only the undemanding foundation of what makes a space look and feel beautiful.
Isn’t this cozy media room to die for? Our design team found this phenomenal sectional that is insanely comfortable and deep. Perfect for cuddling up while watching your favorite shows. The room looks down onto the main floor of the home which let’s in light for day to day use, but can be closed off as well to create a theater-like movie experience. Completed with a fully stocked candy and beverage bar for family and guests to enjoy.
We are completely obsessed with this darling guest bedroom. These clients designed this room for grandchildren, but the two twin beds can easily be pushed together to accommodate visiting couples as well. The emerald green mohair bed frames are an exciting yet neutral color that not only adds interest to the space but also brings a calming and grounding energy to the room.
Bunk rooms are one of Alder & Tweed’s infamous trademarks. So, it only made sense to incorporate a fabulous bunk room into this project as well. Bunk rooms can be difficult to accessorize and decorate, so to bring in some much needed color and life to this space, we chose to wallpaper from floor to ceiling. Bringing your wallcoverings all the way up onto the ceiling not only adds an extra element of surprise, but it actually draws the eye up and elongates the room, making your space feel larger and more accommodating for multiple guests.
We’ve had so much fun working on this beautiful project, in such an inspiring location. Follow us on Instagram to see even more photos from this home as well as exclusive video content!
