This moody tablescape, styled by Alder & Tweed’s Principal, Heather Humphrey, incorporates an unexpected mix of textures and patterns, and plenty of rich colors to create the perfect setting.
When it comes to creating a moody and evocative tablescape, Heather is definitely a maximalist. She loves layering deep colors and textures and always adds something unexpected to keep things fresh and interesting.
Each place setting is adorned with a gold charger, matte black china and flatware, and a beautiful napkin ring. Each of these elements adds another layer of interest and helps to tie the entire table together. We are especially obsessed with the eclectic assortment of beautifully etched crystal glasses.

No table setting is complete without a floral centerpiece. Heather added a seasonal floral centerpiece to add a dramatic pop of color and to bring some life to the table. The beautiful centerpiece, masterfully created by florist Cynthia Thorsen, featured a natural shape and silhouette that softened the design and added another stunning layer of interest.
