Alder and Tweed

Hi! Have a look around! Let us know if you have any questions.

Spring is officially here and we couldn’t be more excited about it. With the changing of the season, we transition into a fresh perspective and exciting new design style. From the coziness of Winter to the revitalizing of Spring, it’s time to incorporate the turn of the season into a fresh new design for your home!

Spring Paints. With Spring right around the corner, if you’re looking for a way to rejuvenate your space, select a paint color that can liven up a room while maintaining a well balanced look. A rich green, warm yellow, or vibrant pink are all fun ways to revamp a space without having to change the whole design of a room. Kelly Wearstler has provided some great paint colors to try out in the upcoming months like venetian red, mudslide, deep royal, rosy peach, and refuge.

Funky & Fresh. Go wild, and try something new in the design of your vacation home. Since it’s not a primary residence, you have more flexibility and freedom to be bold and do something that you may not do in your primary home. Using a colorful wallpaper or vibrant paint has the ability to change the feel of a room and bring energy to the space. Gold and brass accents can lighten and bring warmth to a room, while patterns and color can add a funky and fresh take on a traditional or modern style.

Kelly Wearstler Inspired. Kelly Wearstler optimizes the Spring dream in design by combining abstract patterns, funky lines, and bright colors. This fresh design style lends an airy, yet bold feeling to a room and makes people excited for the turn of the season and summer months ahead!

Florals and Accessories. Liven up your space with that Spring feel by adding greenery, florals, and plants to your design. Florals are an easy way to bring in pops of color, and add dimension and life to a room. So bring the outdoors in and maximize that natural plant life for a great Spring look.

Spring Finds. With most of us working from home, adding beautiful color and pattern to our space will help us in keeping a cheerful mood. Whether it be a bright pillow for your sofa, a geometric inspired wallpaper, or a beautiful bench, there are many ways to spice up a room. As Marie Kondo would say, “if it sparks joy, then keep it!” or in the case of interior design, add it to your space! Ready to try some of these fun design trends? Below are some of our favorite current online design finds to get your house ready for Spring.

Silo Ridge. Silo Ridge Field Club is one of our main design developments located on acres of private land just outside of Amenia and Millbrook, New York. This beautiful property embodies a farmhouse feel using rustic countryside elements and neutral palettes throughout the designs. It’s the perfect place to incorporate those Spring elements as the countryside comes alive and we become inspired by the surrounding farmland.

Don’t forget to be bold this coming season and start over with a fresh take on your design style. Now is the time for new beginnings as the seasons change!
