Home Tour: Stay a While
April 24, 2026
A home designed to slow the pace and invite you in, Stay a While is defined by the balance of clean architectural lines and softened layers of tactile warmth. Grounded in a restrained palette and elevated through materiality, the home leans into moodier tones, rich textures, and sleek, modern lines that shape a serene, elevated living environment. Each space feels intentional and offers a sense of ease and coziness.
Defined by quiet contrast and material richness, the great room sets the tone—dark wood, exterior stone carried indoors, and softened neutrals create a composition that feels both grounded and elevated. Multiple seating arrangements are thoughtfully layered throughout the space, while a sculptural Lindsey Adelman chandelier draws the eye upward, highlighting the architectural lines as the fireplace wall anchors the room with a sense of mountain comfort. Expansive accordion doors open fully to the outdoors, creating a seamless indoor outdoor flow that extends into a serene outdoor retreat and spa like surroundings.
The dining and kitchen spaces flow naturally with the great room, maintaining a consistent aesthetic of materiality and form. Tucked within custom millwork, the built in banquette creates an intimate dining moment, where custom upholstery and a statement pendant introduce warmth against the surrounding stone. In the kitchen, clean lines and refined finishes take focus in the rich oak cabinetry, sleek island, and White Macaubas accent slab above the range framed by windows that draw in natural light , adding depth and movement. Brass pendants and fixtures lend a soft luminosity, while the continuity of materials from interior to exterior reinforces a seamless, architectural flow.
This guest bedroom offers a quieter, more intimate retreat, where softened textures and warm wood tones create a sense of ease. A low, upholstered bed anchors the space, complemented by artful forms and tailored furnishings that maintain a refined simplicity. A custom millwork wardrobe integrates storage seamlessly, while sheer drapery filters natural light, lending a soft, ambient quality. The palette remains restrained, allowing materiality and subtle contrast to shape a space that feels both restful and thoughtfully composed.
This spa inspired bath leans into a more sensory, light filled expression of the home’s material palette. We love the subtle asymmetry of the sconces, bringing a sense of balance against the richly grained wood cabinetry and sculptural sink. Beyond, the shower becomes immersive—floor to ceiling glazing opens to an indoor outdoor experience connected to the pool and spa, where limestone tile, plaster walls, and warm metal fixtures are softened by steam, light, and shifting shadows. A corten steel screen filters light and adds privacy, while the continuity of materials from exterior to interior creates a space that feels calm, connected, and quietly restorative.
The mudroom and recreation space introduces a more utilitarian layer to the home, carried through with the same thoughtful material palette. Custom millwork in varied and reclaimed wood tones creates a warm, cohesive backdrop, integrating storage while supporting the demands of ski-in living. A central custom ping pong table anchors the space and encourages gathering and recreation, transforming the space into a flexible, multi use environment that feels both practical and considered.
